Further to our conversation, I would like to say thank you for a fantastic service provided by Luca Trivisonno when purchasing my appliances. I was probably one of the most annoying and indecisive customers but Luca was always polite, helpful, never pushy and full of good advice. I have been right across Sydney to many different Winnings and other stores but no other person came close to matching Luca’s honest and efficient manner. When the fridge was delivered, the guys were very considerate and extremely careful as my floors had recently been sanded and they took the utmost care in making sure the fridge was taken up a flight of stairs safely. (I have mentioned their names to Luca and Sally previously, but cannot remember them now, sorry). I have recommended and will continue to recommend Winnings, Brookvale as well as Luca in Taren Point.

As mentioned I said I would email you on your great customer service on purchasing my new Speed Queen top load washing machine.

The telephone conversation with you made the choice so easy you have plenty of patience and time and a wonderful bubbly phone mannerism. It’s interesting to know I was listening to the radio on the topic of the consumer shopping online and the survey had said more shoppers are leaning towards shopping online, because of price, but I think it’s more of a case that the shopper is not getting the customer service in the retail market, so then they primarily look at the price, but if everyone done their job as well as you Cassandra they would sell more products and services. I’ve walked into other opposition retail appliance stores and there mannerism and customer service is terrible they make you feel as welcomed as a fart in a space suit. The new Speed Queen washing machine works brilliant, I am very happy with it, keep up the good work Cassandra. Hope to visit the store soon.

Thank you both for your assistance in having the basin replaced. Your prompt agreement to replacing the basin when we saw the fault was great customer service. The job did take a little time to complete but I, for one, was more worried about how much mess and damage would be caused in removing the basin. Also, there seemed to be a reluctance by the original stone mason to take on the job with out indemnity etc etc which made me more nervous. So the delay was of no concern to me as I was more interested in getting the job done properly and it was. Ian removed the basin with no mess or damage very quickly. An Expert!

We are very, very satisfied with the service we received from Winning Appliances during the renovation process. Loretta was always willing to help us solve any problems. In fact she and all the staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We will certainly be back when we renovate the downstairs bathroom in a few months and will recommend Winning to others.

Particularly good with after-sales service

Dear Dan,

My new GE fridge was delivered last Friday after 7pm. The 2 delivery men (GE drivers) had been delayed by a truck breakdown and had subsequently had a very long day. However, they were very professional and managed to remove my very large old fridge and position the new fridge without any damage to my wooden floors (which had been a particular concern of mine).

After they left (around 9.20pm) I noted that the fridge was leaning backwards at a considerable angle. This did not affect its functionality but was not aesthetically pleasing. I rang the delivery men a couple of minutes after they had left and asked for their advice. I was not expecting them to return at that time of night. They suggested that my husband may be able to correct the lean but we decided that he should not attempt this, especially as the manual said that any installation performed by anyone other than approved installers could void the warranty.

I rang Winning’s Crows Nest on Saturday morning and spoke with Mr Dan Miller, who said that he would try and arrange for a technician to come on the Monday. However, I soon received a call that a technician would drop by that afternoon. The serviceman fixed the “problem” promptly and then was happy to patiently finesse the levels until I was perfectly happy with the position of the fridge in the cavity, how far the doors protruded beyond the level of the cabinetry, etc.

When I bought the fridge, the sales consultant (Jennifer Shepherd) told me that Winning’s was particularly good with after-sales service. I feel that this has been proven within 24 hours of the delivery. I certainly did not expect that a technician would come that day, on the weekend. I was also particularly impressed with the demeanor of the technician; I’m sure he was looking forward to finishing his day but he was extremely obliging with a “fussy customer”.

We recently purchased a oven, cooktop & sink from your Narellan store. We had an issue with the oven not working properly, we contacted your store and was helped by one of your salespersons Helen Long, she was extremely helpful and organised a serviceman to come to our house to fix it, unfortunately the oven still didn’t work properly. I contacted Helen again and once again she helped us out. I would like to commend her on her excellent customer service skills.You should be thankful that you have a valued and helpful employee working for your company.

I have been purchasing appliances from Northmead Winnings for some time now. In June I had a new oven installed by Winnings handy crew and they were faultless.

I spoke to a Ronnie and he kindly directed me to the right website. The installers were polite, apologetic, and were always on time. Who ever heard of trades people being on time? Winnings are.

Bravo team and a big thank you to Peter from Handycrew (I hope thats his name). No problem was too big for them to solve.

I am just writing to commend John Kolovos. We purchased several items, including an Asko Washer and Dryer, FP bottom freezer/fridge, and several other things, and he was just great. Extremely friendly, and helpful. He knew his products and helped us make the best decision possible. He had everything scheduled for us and everything went smoothly. Will definitely continue to go to John for all of our needs. We will be building a new home next year, and will be buying a Wolf dual fuel range and Subzeros as well. What a suprise! I felt like i was welcomed with open arms to your store in Fortitude Valley by Brook who i had spoken to earlier on the phone. I then wandered through the impressive displays and with every corner I turned there was a smiling face willing to help. I think I notched up $20,000 in wish list wants.

Finally reaching the area I came to see I was met by Jo Taylor. She asked me what i was looking for and within a nano second there it was. I did my usual look at all the alternatives to delay a decision, but Jo was right in everything she advised me on.

This was my first visit after having been to almost every other retailer in Brisbane and Winning Appliances and their staff are without doubt the most personable and knowledgeable people i’ve met in years. You got my business and anyone else I know.

Just a quick note to say thank you and Dan for extending yourselves to provide after sales service, and stickling with the issues until they were solved thus is a great signpost for Winnings when their is so much competition out there.

I always say you ascertain a persons character in the sales and customer service arena when something goes wrong, and you both came to the party along with the intervention of John Creece from Asko. I was particularly impressed Kane that you followed up to see if the situation had been solved, this is a great sign for you as a sales person progressing forward in whatever role you take on, and a further compliment re the customer ethos of the organization you work for.

I started out with a micro wave, then graduated to a range hood, then on to an oven from you because of your service and willingness to help out. The wife now asks for a washing machine and new fridge later, so will look to get the washing machine from you.

His attention to customer service was exceptional and he would always follow up on our requests. David’s referral to the Winnings Handy Crew was a great idea and we have been able to work with them to install with ease our extra long range hood and stove. David has a very warm and professional manner and when we shop at Winnings (Redfern) we will certainly ask for David. Thank you David for your genuine manner. Lucy Pollicina and Madonna (from the warehouse) went to unbelievable lengths to obtain the STREK-150mm Flu vent kit from Melbourne. Mr Peter Brown from Winnings Handy Crew recommended we use for the installation of our range hood. In all it took over 3 weeks to obtain this kit both ladies persisted and were adamant that they were going to uphold the name of Winnings. Thanks a million ladies. You two are a great team and are both WINNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mrs Mandy Wright was very helpful when we had to have our Burner Skirt Covers replaced. The brand new covers came in their sealed plastic packets but four of the covers were chipped. Mrs Wright organised the paper work and within less than a week they were delivered to our home. Your efficient and pleasant manner made things go smoothly especially for a Saturday morning at Winnings. Thanks Mandy.

Thank you also to Mr Tony Last who helped us with the flu extension. His polite and professional manner was much appreciated. In regard to the office staff what else could customers ask for when they first enter the Winnings store! Donna, Mandy, Petra, Jessica and Michelle were friendly, helpful and happy. We enjoyed talking to them and they always contacted other staff to help us with our requests.

I have a need to contact Winning Appliances to share my experiences both as purchasing customer and as a customer requiring service.

Today I needed to contact Winning Appliances in respect of a faulty appliance, just out of warranty. I spoke to Elizabeth who tracked down the invoice and who assisted me in moving toward resolution of my problem. I won’t go into the details of my particular issue but want to share my delight with my dealings with Elizabeth. She had needed to wait for your computer system to come back online in order to assist me and to my delight (yes, lots of delight today), she did call back, quickly, as promised and she resolved my query in the best way possible given the circumstances.

From the moment I spoke to her, I felt my issue was met with interest, courtesy, empathy and caring and I ended the call with a comfortable feeling of having been held all along the way. I want to use the terms ‘professionalism’, ‘intelligence’, ‘sensitivity’ ‘caring’, but baulk at offering these judgments since they are merely my own judgements.

All I can talk about is my own really wonderful experience today and my gift back to Winnings is utter customer loyalty. This email needs also to re-affirm other dealings I have had with Winning Appliances. When I bought my items from your company, I dealt with Allison, and my experience with her was equally delightful. Again the words ‘caring’ ‘real interest’, ‘professionalism’ etc spring to mind and I was similarly moved to write to Winning Appliances 30 months or so ago to express my appreciation of Allison as a salesperson.

I would like to thank Winnings for the great service they offer. Eleni Doumanis explained all the appliances to us and had lots of patience while we made up our mind which products we wanted. She wasn’t pushy, and we were very happy with our choices. Eleni helped me complete the paperwork for a promotion that ILVE was offering. The 6 piece cookware set was delivered and is just beautiful. Eleni has organised for my appliances to be delivered on Friday and I can’t wait to have them installed into my new kitchen, its very exciting!!

We just had a fridge delivered and I wanted to give some feedback on the delivery team. It required two crews as they needed to get the four door fridge upstairs. All four men were lovely! I have received exceptional service

Dear John,

I feel compelled to write to you in relation to my recent experiences with a number of your Queensland representatives and/or agents, relevant to some commercial dealings. I do wish to point out that this communication is solely my initiative, with nothing to gain or lose by it. The details of the transactions are of little consequence (available to you if you so wish), as it is the personal / human behaviours which are my focus in this communication.

Last Thursday, a Brendan Clark and a David Gordon of “Handy Crew” came to our home to do a connection of a Westinghouse gas oven supplied by Winning Appliances. (A previous Plumber / Gas Fitter had been earlier involved.) My wife and I have not long purchased this current home and have had about a dozen or more tradesmen doing various upgrades / improvements etc to the home over the past 6 months. I have never struck two tradesmen as professional, obliging, helpful, motivated, competent and “straight forward” as Messrs Clark and Gordon. They are a credit to their trade and their employer. In addition to the specific job they did, (which was first class in every respect), their comments and recommendations relevant to other appliances / installations / issues were extremely beneficial and put to me in a particularly professional manner. Further business with Winnings will result.

A Winning Appliances and Bathrooms advertising card refers to, amongst other things, “Exeptional Service”. While these words are often used “loosley”, they are clearly warranted / justified in your businesses’ case. I have received exceptional service from the two Handy Crew tradesmen.

This “exceptional service” also extends to my experience / dealings with Mr Leo Wallin of your Brisbane Office. Helpful, professional, efficient, customer service oriented, are all relevant descriptive words that apply to our mutual dealings.

In conclusion, let me say categorically what a delight it has been to have had dealings with these three men employed and/or associated with your Company. They are great ambassadors for Winnings and I will be “spruiking” their attributes and recommending them to all and sundry, in addition to me putting more business their way. In an era of relatively mediocre tradesmen and salesmen, these three are “standouts” of very high quality.

Information and assistance was unbiased and thorough without any pressure to buy certain brands as many other stores do. Thought that this type of service no longer existed. Nothing was a problem

Dear Sir,

I wish to thank Gary Greedy at your Westmead store for his prompt attention to the problem I come across with a St George induction cooktop I bought from your company 3.5 years ago. When I and my wife expressed to him our great disappointment about the quality of this cooktop and frustration of not being able to find another suitable replacement, he kindly volunteered to offer some help if I can show him the receipt of purchase.

I then put it in writing to St George and upon receipt of our letter, he immediately on-forwarded it to their representative and came back in the next day with some good news that St George was going to fix the broken burner for us. He continued to follow up between us and St George to make sure that the matter was well attended. I am very pleased to say that the whole issue was now resolved and it should restore my confidence on St George products.

Your company should be proud of having a staff member like Gary who does care about customer’s feedback and keen on offering some sorts of “after-sale” customer services that not so many people will do.

I will have no doubt to recommend your company to people who need any kitchen appliances.

An amazing experience

I am writing to let you know how satisfied and relieved I was when I went to Winning Appliances as I had to purchase a new stove and was dreading doing so as my husband used to help in these circumstances but he passed away and I was determined to do it on my own.

I was looking around feeling very uncomfortable and a nice young man who I know now was Michael Yianni came up to me and asked if he could help me – from then on it was an amazing experience as he was so nice and helpful – and the stove was installed yesterday and I couldn’t be happier. I must say I have not had such wonderful service when I have had to have other transactions seen to. I am now thinking of replacing the dishwasher which looks very shabby near the nice new stove! Good people are hard to come by and can generate considerable word of mouth recommendations. So, we thought you would want to know about how much we appreciate the help that Jennifer Shepherd in Winnings Crows Nest gave us in buying our appliances for our new kitchen.

Jennifer is a delight to deal with. We really appreciated her pragmatic, friendly style and her experienced perspective. It’s the little pieces of advice that made the difference: making sure the square sink has rounded corners for cleaning, ensuring our pull-out goose neck won’t collect grime and making sure the range hood wouldn’t be too noisy. Jennifer spent considerable time helping me in my decision (I ask a lot of questions!), giving me options with experienced pro and cons. We were even impressed by the way she just accepted and met the competitive prices in a very matter of fact way. It was great to be able to pick up the phone or send an email when we had questions and have her quickly answer, with nothing ever seeming to be an issue.

We were also particularly impressed by her problem solving. The installer on the day of installation discovered that range hood would not reach. Jennifer let me know immediately that the height was incorrectly described and we required an extension. She immediately took responsibility and managed to get the part to the installer within 3 hours and gratis. This also saved us money for a return trip by the installer. This went far beyond our expectations.

We had been recommending Jennifer prior to this incident and will continue to do so.

Fantastic staff at Newcastle store

I would like to compliment the fantastic staff at Newcastle store especially Paula who gave us great advice and who attented to our service problem efficiently and timely by sending Jeff to our home to look at a problem with our new AEG washing machine that had not been tested by the aeg staff who delivered and installed the appliance. We have and will in future deal with this great, friendly and efficient team.

Hi, I would very much like to thank all the staff at Winnings Appliances Crows Nest.

On Easter Thursday, my husband and I woke to find that our refrigerator was no longer working.  With an 18th birthday party organized for the Monday, I was feeling pretty panicked. I called a number of Electrical Appliance stores to see if I could get a fridge delivered on Thursday and the only response I got was “Sorry Ma’am, we can’t help you.”

When I called Winnings at Crows Nest and told them of my predicament, the receptionists reply was “I am sure we can do something to help you.”  I cannot tell you how good it was to hear those words.  And not only did
they help me, but I had a new fridge delivered by that afternoon.

So, thank you very much, for supplying such good customer service. Could you please reply so that I know that you have received my email.

Customer service reminiscent of the old days

Further to our conversation earlier today let me confirm my appreciation of the purchasing experience my wife and I received whilst dealing with you and Winning Appliances.

Purchasing an appliance is often fraught with many unknowns but the experience with Winning was a pleasurable one. During the ordering process we were kept informed as to the progress of the processing of the order whether by you or by the Falcon representatives here in Australia. But the most surprising aspect, a rarity in today’s retail world, was the delivery to our property at Frogmore which is three and a half hours drive south from Sydney. The communication  and operational process your company employs in relation to deliveries is outstanding and must be congratulated! Phone calls were efficient and exacting and delivery made accurately as arranged despite the often difficulty in locating properties here in rural NSW.

The delivery personnel [Wayne and Matt] and vehicle were well presented and their attitude respectful and efficient –  a credit and compliment to your organisation.

Would you please pass on to all concerned especially the delivery team our thanks and appreciation of a “job well done”.

David, Winning Appliance has set a standard in customer service rarely experience now and certainly reminiscent of the old days where customers were valued and the shopping experience enjoyable.

The Extra Mile

I would like to thank you for arranging the appliances which look great.
There was a hitch on Friday where the range hood was not able to fit into the cupboard and required some minor carpentry work.
I would like to particularly thank the chap who installed (Elseid and Andrew). He knew it was urgent to install Friday and even though a carpenter was not available until Monday, he went that extra mile and got someone over to do the work. Everything was installed perfectly and looks great.
So, again, I would like to make a special mention of how nice the chap was and how he averted a potential disaster for me.
He should be congratulated and is a credit to Winnings – as you are as well.
