Transtherm
Transtherm Australia Pty Ltd was created at the end of 1998 by Jean-Marie and Leonie Simart in association with Corndale Marketing, a holding company of Vintec and Transtherm, a company based in Singapore and selling and distributing French grand cru wines and wine cabinets all over Asia.
Jean-Marie Simart, an Australian born in Paris, is a former banker who has spent the majority of his career in Asia. Passionate about wine, he discovered, through Corndale Consultants, a wonderful thing whilst in Singapore: the wine cabinet.
With neither the space nor time to build an underground cellar, he had finally found the ideal solution. An elegant looking cellar, easily movable and perfectly efficient to keep his wines in pristine condition for the long or short term.
Transtherm Australia commenced operation at the beginning of 1999 by importing a few models manufactured in France. The success of this new concept in a country where the wine industry was growing at a fast pace, with consumers becoming more knowledgeable about wine preservation, was immediate.
Today Transtherm Australia, now known as Vintec Australia (trading as Vintec Transtherm Wine Cabinets) specialises in wine storage cabinets, imported from France, Denmark and China, providing a comprehensive range of products from a small 2 temperature cabinet for 30 bottles up to a walk in cellar for 3,900 bottles.
Vintec Australia sells all over Australia and New Zealand through more than 250 selected retailers.
Predominantly for domestic use for wine connoisseurs and entertainers alike, Vintec Transtherm wine cabinets have also been adopted by some of the most renowned chefs and restaurants in Australia, including; Tetsuya, Neil Perry, Restaurant 41, Breezes and Astral at Star City Casino.
Leading architects and interior designers are now including Vintec Australia Wine Cabinets in their innovative designs for kitchens and dining rooms.
All new Vintec Australia wine cabinets come with a 2 year warranty and after sales service is managed through the head office in Darlinghurst, NSW.
